Subject: Tell Brian Fitzpatrick: No More Votes for Abortion
| | Tell Brian Fitzpatrick: No More Votes for Abortion On Thursday, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on the top legislative priority of President Biden – the so-called Equality Act. While that legislation is known for its grave threat to religious freedom and for pushing the transgender agenda on children, it's also the most serious threat to the sanctity of life in this Congress. That's because it changes the definition of sex discrimination to include "pregnancy, childbirth," and "a related medical condition." That phrase has previously been recognized in court as including abortion. Thus, it would turn civil rights law into a major protector of abortion, as limits on abortion could be considered sex discrimination. Yet the last time this same legislation came before Congress, Brian Fitzpatrick voted FOR it. With such tight margins in Congress, his vote could be very important this week. That's why we're asking you, as a constituent of his, to contact Rep. Fitzpatrick and urge him to oppose the so-called Equality Act. This bill poses serious threats to Americans, especially women and children. If it becomes law, the Act will serve as a backdoor way to sanction abortions, introduce explicit content in school curriculum, let boys win in girls' sports, pressure children toward experimental cross-sex hormones – and silence all of us who disagree. Please take a few moments and send a message to Rep. Fitzpatrick now in our Action Center! Thanks for speaking up and spreading the word! John Paulton Mobilization Manager | | | | | |
