Subject: What Trump Must Do at the UN

Vol. 20, No. 2   January 2, 2017
What Trump Must Do at the UN
Dear Colleague,

UN radicals are deeply embedded, deeply entrenched at the UN, at all levels, in all agencies, in all committees. The radical agenda has free rein at the UN and the only brake upon it is a handful of UN member states and a handful of groups like C-Fam. The Trump administration has a unique opportunity to strike a blow for freedom but he and his team must know the true score at Turtle Bay. True reform includes more than simply withholding of funds. It means root and branch reform of the bureaucracy. Stefano Gennarini, J.D. lays it out for him in today's Friday Fax, with more to come next week.

One of the great lies of the UN abortion advocates is that there is this great "unmet need" women face around the world for "family planning." In fact, the world is awash in UN-style family planning. What's more, the notion of "unmet need" includes women who simply choose not to use contraception. Even they are said to experience an "unmet need." C-Fam's Rebecca Oas, Ph.D. has taken this notion apart in a new article in the New Atlantis that we report upon here. We are so proud of Rebecca and her important work in debunking this massive ideological falsehood.

Spread the word. Be brave.

Yours sincerely,

Austin Ruse
President

PS Another note about the notion of "being brave." C-Fam personnel are among the bravest people you will ever meet. Each and every day they stand bravely against the radical ethos of the UN often all alone. So, I say you, too, be brave.

Global "Unmet Need" for Family Planning More Myth than Science: New Article

By Rebecca Oas, Ph.D

WASHINGTON, DC, January 6 (C-Fam) The claim that 200 million of the world's women and girls want contraception but can't get it is false, but it is still used to funnel billions of dollars to the international family planning and abortion industry each year. Read more >>
