Shortly after the ruling, both Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, who sued the Trump administration over the rule granting the exemption, and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, a Catholic, signaled that they would continue to fight the decision" (National Catholic Register, 7/9/2020)

"Cells culled from deliberately aborted babies are being used in the production of at least five leading coronavirus vaccine candidates, including front-runners by Moderna Therapeutics, Johnson and Johnson and Oxford University....By contrast, Sanofi-Pasteur’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate uses insect cells....
