"pure evil was 'normalized,' amidst the silence"

We ABSOLUTELY need to love and pray for our hierarchy and other clergy, while keeping Canon 212 firmly in mind:

Can. 212 §1. Conscious of their own responsibility, the Christian faithful are bound to follow with Christian obedience those things which the sacred pastors, inasmuch as they represent Christ, declare as teachers of the faith or establish as rulers of the Church.

§2. The Christian faithful are free to make known to the pastors of the Church their needs, especially spiritual ones, and their desires.

§3. According to the knowledge, competence, and prestige which they possess, they have the right and even at times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful, without prejudice to the integrity of faith and morals, with reverence toward their pastors, and attentive to common advantage and the dignity of persons.

In the years since 1973 in the United States, it appears that too few Catholic lay people spoke up.  As per Father Richard Heilman (2/28/21)."abortion was allowed to be 'normalized' – entrenched – in the years following Roe v. Wade....Catholics could say, if these silent spiritual leaders didn’t seem unnerved by the killing of innocent children, why should we? And so, pure evil was 'normalized,' amidst the silence"

"If we are to restore confidence in Pennsylvania’s election process, you must oppose H.R. 1.

"This proposal to nationalize our election law is very problematic. Now should be a time for working with state officials in their ongoing deliberations towards improving election integrity. H.R. 1 cuts off that entire discussion and forces bad election policies on Pennsylvania.

"Additionally, the government has no business adding donors to government databases — and doing so subjects donors to harassment and intimidation from today’s cancel culture.

"We need to restore election integrity, not nationalize it with harmful policies that limit our First Amendment freedoms.

"Please oppose H.R. 1."
