- While Bishop Barron is absolutely right about "Imagine," it is fascinating to take a look at Lennon's 1972 appearances on “The Dick Cavett Show." At one point, Cavett tried to lecture John and Yoko on the supposed importance of reducing human population (See http://www.youtube.com/v/3yRh5NNiFG0.). Lennon strongly indicated that supposed "overpopulation" was a mere rationalization for mistreatment of the weak by the powerful. Many might be extremely surprised to hear his strongly pro life argument!
