No matter how deluded is James Martin, SJ, & how reticent other Catholic clergy and bishops are to proclaim it, we know that the marriage of a woman and man is profoundly different from any same sex relations. Marriage is a profound sign of God's love for His people and His plan for continuing His work of creation.
I have also been unable to find mention of whether Trinity Health Mid Atlantic still claims adherance to the USCCB's Ethical & Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Art. 11. – The diocesan Bishop is obliged, if necessary, to make known to the faithful the fact that the activity of a particular charitable agency is no longer being carried out in conformity with the Church’s teaching, and then to prohibit that agency from using the name “Catholic” and to take the necessary measures should personal responsibilities emerge.
