Has the USCCB's National Marriage Week (Feb 7 - 14) gotten ANY airplay from your pastor? In the midst of skyrocketing rates of abortion, cohabitation, divorce, "fatherless" families, and sexually transmitted diseases, the vast majority of our clergy should be asking themselves why Humanae Vitae's truths about marriage, family, and sexuality have not been shouted from pulpits? For many clergy, even bishops, it appears that there is failure to appreciate the beauty of God's plan for marriage, family and sexuality. What is behind this? Failure to maintain celibacy? According to Andrew Sullivan's extremely provocative article in New York Magazine, “In the United States…where there are 37,000 priests, no independent study has found fewer than 15 percent to be gay, and some have found as many as 60 percent. The consensus in my own research over the past few months converged on around 30 to 40 percent among parish priests and considerably more than that—as many as 60 percent or higher—among religious orders like the Franciscans or the Jesuits.” - Report: Former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to Be Defrocked (Thomas William's, PhD, 2/8/19)
- Shouldn't we bnstead e talking about excommunication? "What do people think about laity? That if you’re a prelate, and a predator, and a promoter, and a protector, and you’re caught... Boom! You can’t be clergy; you have to be at the level of the laity! So much for the universal call to holiness'....The point of excommunicating...is not 'to get even' or even primarily 'to purify the Church' but for 'the man’s salvation'" (Scott Hahn: Don’t laicize sexual predators–excommunicate them, LifeSiteNews, 10/4/18).

- Common Ground on the INEQUALITY of the So-Called Equality Act?"four feminist activists — three from a self-described radical feminist organization Women’s Liberation Front — appeared on a panel at the Heritage Foundation. Together they argued that sex was fundamentally biological, and not socially constructed, and that there is a difference between women and trans women that needs to be respected. For this, they were given a rousing round of applause by the Trump supporters, religious-right members, natural law theorists, and conservative intellectuals who comprised much of the crowd. If you think I’ve just discovered an extremely potent strain of weed and am hallucinating, check out the video of the event.... The title of the Heritage panel conversation — 'The Inequality of the Equality Act' — refers to the main legislative goal for the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ lobbying group in the US" (Andrew Sullivan, NY Magazine, 2/1/19)
- "Does President Trump always exhibit the fruits of the spirit? No. Are there Tweets he sends out from time to time that I wish he would not send? Yes. But you know what? The man is fighting these same people who want to destroy our country and who want to ruin our lives unless we bow the knee to Baal. And they are vicious and they are ruthless. And they, the God-haters, are after President Trump because in many respects – politically speaking – to them he represents us. We need to pray for President Trump ... every day" (Tim Wildmon, 2/7/19)
