Jesus Still Heals!
Since 1973, there have been 308 million victims of abortion in the U.S. (cf., PFLI.org). How will we explain this on Judgement Day?
"Between April 12, 2009, and April 10, 2010, the CDC estimates swine flu caused 60.8 million illnesses, 273,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths in the U.S. (Becker's Hospital Review, 3/12/20). As of 3/15/20, there have been 57 Coronavirus deaths in the U.S. All 57 victims - and their families - deserve our prayers. There are also 2952 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the U.S. (cf, Johns Hopkins, 3/15/20). With God's help, the vast majority will fully recover.
In what strikes this blogger as an overreaction which could fuel anxiety, all Masses have been cancelled by the Archdiocese of NY and the Diocese of Btooklyn. All of us - especially our bishops and other clergy - need to maintain perspective! We need to pray that our bishops, priests, and deacons receive an outpouring of Godly courage.
