Call to Action
URGENT - TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY ON BOTH OF THESE ITEMS!

Dear ______,

The Senate Passed A5508/S3804 yesterday.  The bill removes the exemption in current law for religious employers to provide coverage for female contraceptives if the required coverage conflicts with the religious employer's bona fide religious beliefs and practices.
The legislation will expand insurance coverage for abortion inducing drugs. It passed by a vote of 21-15 with 4 Democrats Not Voting.  To see how your Senators voted, go HERE

S3804/A5508 passed the state assembly on June 20, 2019.  To see how your Assembly members voted, go HERE  .

Action needed:  Please contact Governor Murphy and urge him to veto the bill

Phone:609 292 6000

Email the Governor: HERE

You can also go to our legislative action center from our website to send a pre-written email urging the Governor to veto the bill
Urge the Governor to Veto A5508/S3804 and Protect the Religious Employers' Exemption

S3804/A5508 is part of a package of bills that the Governor and the legislature are supporting to create a New Jersey version of the federal Affordable Care and Patient Protection Act of 2010.

Please go to our Legislative Action Tab and take the directed action to prevent this bill from becoming law.  Thank you.

Legislation (S2173/A3818)  to remove a religious exemption and mandate immunizations for children may be scheduled for a Senate vote on Monday, January 13th, the last day of the Legislative session.  Apparently, some amendments were passed which may exclude children attending private schools, and students with a sibling who had a severe reaction to a particular vaccine.  Regardless of your views on vaccines, this legislation undermines parental rights and should be vigorously opposed.

Please contact your state Senator and urge them to vote No on S2173/A3818 and any attempt to remove a religious exemption for immunizations. Encourage your friends, family and church members to do the same.

Thank you!

P.S. Don't forget to Attend our Rally for Life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Trenton. Please spread the word and bring friends and family!   Information about the Rally can be found on our website
