August 2nd, 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Why Does the Church Teach that Mary was Assumed, Body.& Soul?

The 4th Glorious Mystery: The Assumption

8/8, Father Dominic founded a 13th century order,
which combated the Albigensian heresy.
Albigensians/Cathars were the latest incarnation
t/7hi a dualistic heresy
(Much earlier, Augustine of Hippo was taken
with the Manichean/dualist heresy.).
As per this heresy, God is NOT all powerful &
is perpetually at war
with an equally powerful bad god.
In their convoluted thinking, the body is bad.
They fail to recognize the significance of
the "resurrection of the body";
that God wants our bodies and souls in Heaven!.

Remembering the Transfiguration & slaughter
[at Hiroshima and Nagasaki].....

18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

They all ate and were satisfied,
and they picked up the fragments left over—
twelve wicker baskets full.
Those who ate were about five thousand men, not counting women and children.

  • How are we to believe that Philadelphia & Trenton Catholic bishops believe the truth about marriage/family/human sexuality when NFP Awareness Week & today's anniversary of Humanae Vitae were so effectively ignored? (7/25/26)
  • "In neither the Philly Archdiocese nor the Trenton Diocese (walking distance to my home) have I seen/heard any mention of this - other than my own voice!  This is shameful and inexcusable." (7/20/26)
  • Abortion count rises as women turn to chemical abortions, per new data (EWTN, 7/24/26)
  • Marriage and annulment, then versus now
"Today in America, Catholics helping other Catholics find a way out of their Catholic marriages is a very big machine, and it hums along a certain way and in a certain direction. I myself used to support that system on the layman’s end of things, steering family and friends toward annulment and with no concern that they wouldn’t get one (they always did). I’ve repented of that; I’ve confessed it. The temporal effects remain, however—in the parishes, in the community, in the extended family, with the spouses who didn’t want any of this, and with the children" (Leila Miller, June 2026)
As far as this blogger knows, there are no limitations on the faculties of James Martin, SJ, in Pa or Jersey. As Bishops Barres did with Edward Beck, CP, in Long Island, how wonderful it would be for Archbishop Perez & Bishop O'Connell (and certainly Cardinal Tobin and the other ordinaries) to remove those faculties!

July 26th, 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time

17TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
(7/26/26 Sign/voice)

  • Cardinal Sarah: Pope Leo’s Generosity towards the Traditional Latin Mass ‘Must Apply to All Bishops’ (7/16/26)
  • SSPX Excommunication Fallout, Vatican Reopens Marriage Debate & Synodal Chaos (Papal Posse, 7/10/26)
As far as this blogger knows, there are no limitations on the faculties of James Martin, SJ, in Pa or Jersey. How wonderful it would be for Archbishop Perez & Bishop O'Connell (and certainly Cardinal Tobin and the other ordinaries) to mark so-called Pride Month by removing those faculties!

human life at its most vulnerable still needs the protection of Catholics & all of good will!

Eric, Jim, Rachel, Josue, & Daniel,

When hierarchy are weak about defending human life and marriage/family, none of us are excused from standing up for these most basic of human goods!

Subject: Life at Conception Act, H.R. 722

Eric & Jim,

Will the Pa & NJ Catholic conferences be throwing their support around HR 722?  If not, why not?

Let us never forget the primacy of the sanctity of human life and authentic marriage - cornerstones of Catholic action.

I have taken the liberty of copying Bishop O'Connell & Archbishop Perez, as well as Josue Arrio & Daniel Drain.

Sincerely in Christ,
Joe Tevington

BREAKING: Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan just signed onto the National Life at Conception Act.

This is an enormous development in our fight to protect unborn children.

Congressman Jim Jordan, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has officially become a cosponsor of H.R. 722, the National Life at Conception Act.

Because H.R. 722 is assigned to his committee, Chairman Jordan has tremendous influence over whether the bill receives a hearing and moves forward.

The National Life at Conception Act is gaining momentum in Congress.

Pro-life Americans have been contacting Congress, signing petitions and demanding that Republican leaders stop treating the protection of innocent life as something that can always wait.

Chairman Jordan joining the bill shows that our voices are being heard.

But this is not the moment to ease up. It is the moment to press harder.

Cosponsoring the bill is a major step.
Moving it forward must be the next one.

Please add your name to our petition urging Chairman Jordan and the House Judiciary Committee to advance H.R. 722.

The National Life at Conception Act addresses the question at the heart of every abortion debate:

Who is the child?

If an unborn child is a human being, then that child deserves the same protection under the law as every other human being.

That truth does not change because an abortion is surgical or chemical, or because protecting the child is politically inconvenient.

Every human life has value, and every unborn child deserves equal protection under the law.

By becoming a cosponsor, Chairman Jordan has publicly declared his support for the principle behind H.R. 722.

Now pro-life Americans must respectfully but firmly encourage him to use his position to help move it forward.

Unborn children need more than encouraging words and growing cosponsor lists. They need Congress to advance legislation that recognizes their humanity and protects their lives.

Support must lead to action.

Please sign the petition urging Chairman Jordan and the House Judiciary Committee to advance the National Life at Conception Act.

Chairman Jordan joining H.R. 722 gives us a genuine reason for hope, but it also creates an opportunity we cannot afford to waste.

With enough pro-life Americans speaking together, we can turn this momentum into action.

Thank you for standing with us in defense of innocent unborn children.

P.S. Chairman Jim Jordan has officially become a cosponsor of H.R. 722.

This is a major victory, but now we need to double down. Please sign the petition urging the House Judiciary Committee to advance the National Life at Conception Act.
