The games continue!

Despite the loving and clear warnings of 1 Corinthians 11:29, Canon 915, and Worthiness to Receive Holy Communion, "Catholic" politicians who promote crimes against humanity (e.g, abortion) still bizarrely present themselves for Holy Communion.  

Though our bishops and clergy have had clear guidance on how to proceed in the above situations, many failed to display enough love to prevent sacrilegious receptions of the Eucharist.  

Though there will be a discussion on "Eucharistic coherence" at the next meeting of the USCCB, a fourth of the bishops even tried to postpone that discussion!  There has yet to be an answer from the bishop of Trenton or the archbishop of Philly (and his auxiliaries) as to whether they were among those supposedly needing more clarity.  This sure appears to be game playing to this blogger!

Too many bishops and clergy have acted as though a Catholic can support abortion and/or the pretentious drivel that comes from the likes of James Martin, SJ.  How will you explain that you knowingly allowed physicians in Catholic hospitals who did not adhere to NFP only?

Our bishops and clergy already have a clear path to follow.  They simply need to "man up" and refuse to participate in sacrilege!

Countering the abuse/mistreatment of children - born and preborn!

  • After receiving an unprecedented letter from 67 bishops appealing for a delay in a discussion during the bishops' upcoming spring general assembly on whether to prepare a teaching document on the reception of Communion, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' president explained in a memo the procedure followed in bringing the question to a vote during the June 16-18 virtual meeting....Four cardinals are among those signing the letter: Cardinal Blase J. Cupich of Chicago, Cardinal Wilton D. Gregory of Washington, Cardinal Sean P. O'Malley of Boston and Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin of Newark, New Jersey" (America, 5/26/21). 
      Though it was reported elsewhere that one cardinal later removed his signature, how can cardinals and 63 other American bishops act as though the Church has not spoken clearly on this matter! (cf., Worthiness to Receive Holy Communion).  How would they possibly explain their cowardly semantics to the preborn children whom they failed forthrightly defend!
