LifeChain Update / Where's Waldo (i.e., Brian et al)? / St. Francis of Assisi

10/6/19, 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time

  • 10/6/19: It is unclear if Life Chains are planned in Bucks or Mercer (NJ) Counties, but you can go to this site for updates: www.lifechain.net.
  • The late abortionist Ulrich Klopfer took home the remains of 2,246 pre born children!  You read that correctly.  Ulrich Klopfer depravely took home the remains of human beings!  As per a letter from 67 members of Congress to U.S. Attorney General Barr:

"We write to you regarding the horrific discovery of more than 2,200 preserved human fetal remains on the Illinois property of the recently deceased abortionist Ulrich 'George' Klopfer…. A careful and thorough investigation of this matter is necessary to ensure justice is done and to prevent such tragic situations from occurring in the future....

"The discovery of more than 2,200 preserved human fetal remains on the property of a man infamously known as Indiana’s most prolific abortionist reveals a callous disregard for the sanctity of human life. This case has countless victims – both unborn babies and mothers – and represents a grotesque violation of human dignity that American society should not and cannot tolerate. We urge you to do everything in your power to support the Indiana and Illinois attorneys general in their investigations, and to keep us apprised of any developments. Thank you for your prompt attention to this pressing matter, and we look forward to your response."

Even those who fail to protect children against abortion should be awakened and appalled by Klopfer's macabre treatment of human life.  I may be overlooking someone, but I can find the signature of only one member of the Pa delegation (i.e., Mike Kelly) and one member of the NJ delegation (i.e., Chris Smith). How does my own representative, Brian Fitzpatrick, think people will somehow believe his claim to be pro life, when he fails to join colleagues in protesting this abomination?

  • "In September 1219, Saint Francis of Assisi boldly crossed the battle line of the Fifth Crusade to preach the Gospel of Christ to the Sultan of Egypt....As the West keeps colliding with an increasingly militant Islam in the present day, there is much to learn from this encounter. While in no way objecting to nations protecting their citizens through the use of military force if necessary, I believe Francis teaches us that the most effective 'Crusade' is one that seeks conversion not military defeat. This is achieved by being the best representation of ourselves as disciples of the Prince of Peace....If the object of the Crusades was to gain possession of the Holy Places, then 800 years later we see Francis’ 'Crusade' to be the one that has born the most fruit....The origins of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land today lies in Francis’ pilgrimage to the holy places" (Catholic World Report, 9/26/19).
