Rep Quinn (and Rep Tai) is listed as a co-sponsor of HB 1410 on one list but NOT on the other list. A 10/16/18 phone call to her local office clarified that Quinn is indeed a co-sponsor of HB 1410 - legislation that the Pa Catholic Conference has warned "will jeopardize many churches and their charitable outreach if they continue to adhere to their religious belief"!
Whether it is Quinn or Steve Santarsiero replacing Senator Chuck McIlhinney, their track records indicate likely support for Senate Bill 613 or legislation like it. How dare they act so cavalierly about religious liberty!

- "The U.S. Congress is poised to codify Obama administration gender policies at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). If signed into law, the Act would empower USAID bureaucrats to stop USAID from partnering with groups that oppose abortion and contraception....If the WEE Act is to be consistent with the administration’s pro-life foreign policy, it must include a conscience and religious freedom clause in the legislation to amend the Foreign Assistance Act so that no religious organization or group that objects to abortion can be turned down, or be rendered unable, to partner with USAID. The bill must also include a definition of the term “gender-analysis” that respects the common understanding of gender as men and women, a definition agreed to by nations at the 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women at Beijing." (C-Fam, 10/18/18)
- The U.S. International Agency for International Development (USAID) just gave a hefty grant to CARE, a global aid organization that is working to undermine the administration’s pro-life policies and to insert abortion into humanitarian situations worldwide." (C-Fam, 10/18/18)
- "In the mind of the lay faithful, homosexuality and its role in the crisis need to be dealt with, but it’s unclear whether the synod will be willing to include it in the final text." (A.rchbishop Chaput, 10/15/18)

- We need our bishops to speak boldly for the cause of life. After reading "De facto approval of abortion by Catholic hospitals and parishes?", please urge [will work better directly from web site] USCCB president Cardinal DiNardo, Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop Chaput (and his auxiliaries), and NCBC's ethicists to IMMEDIATELY disallow so-called emergency contraception in Catholic hospitals.
