Faithful Citizenship in Pa's 1st Congressional District and the Central Garden State

po As per the Pa Catholic Conference, Senate Bill 613/House Bill 1410 would add “'gender identity or expression' and 'sexual orientation' to Pennsylvania’s non-discrimination law. Changing the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA) will jeopardize many churches and their charitable outreach if they continue to adhere to their religious beliefs because the proposals do not adequately provide for conscience protection.....Urge lawmakers to oppose any bill that does not adequately protect our constitutional right of religious liberty."  

Rep Quinn (and Rep Tai) is listed as a co-sponsor  of HB 1410 on one list but NOT on the other list. A 10/16/18 phone call to her local office clarified that Quinn is indeed a co-sponsor of HB 1410 - legislation that the Pa Catholic Conference has warned "will jeopardize many churches and their charitable outreach if they continue to adhere to their religious belief"!

Whether it is Quinn or Steve Santarsiero replacing Senator Chuck McIlhinney, their track records indicate likely support for Senate Bill 613 or legislation like it.  How dare they act so cavalierly about religious liberty!
