With the anticipated Supreme Court decision expected quite soon, the National Organization for Marriage has moved the 3rd annual March for Marriage up to Saturday, April 25 (10 am).
Though MUCH smaller than the March for Life, the crowd at the March for Marriage seems much more diverse; the Catholic presence is also much less obvious than at the March for Life. As a matter of fact - other than for Archbishop Cordileone of SF - I recall seeing EXTREMELY FEW Catholic clergy at the first two Marches.
At this time, the Archdiocese does not seem to have any plans for coordinating buses to and from the March. Yet, simply put: WE (laity and clergy) NEED TO BE THERE!
From the Amtrak Stn in Trenton, it's only 2.5 hours to DC's Union Stn. From there, it will be walking distance to the activities.
Pastors should be attending this; parishes should pick up the train fare for any who might find it burdensome.
On Judgment Day, do we really want to cast our lots with those who abandoned Marriage in 16th Century England?
