The crux of the numerous objections to your hosting President Obama at the Al Smith Dinner was that the wrong message would inadvertently be sent. With photos of you yucking it up with the president, it would be extremely difficult for anyone to take the USCCB seriously, when it proclaims that Obama stands opposed to human life, marriage/family, and the Church. Judged by yesterday's coverage by NYC's 3 major dailies (i.e., the Daily News, the Post, and the Times), that fear was fell founded indeed!
