Daylin Leach's Inappropriate Appearance at Villanova
- As per the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference, "HB 818...prohibits the taxpayer supported
insurance plans created under the federal health care exchange from
covering elective abortions....Governor Corbett
signed the bill into law on June 17." By contrast, Pa Senator Daylin Leach is a pro-abortion extremist, who voted against HB 818. His web site attempts to rationalize his heinous position: "When we say government money cannot and will not be used to pay for abortion
services, we’re really saying we’re going to make abortion services unaffordable
for women, very often leaving them in a desperate situation with no options. The
broader policy of denying women access to these services is something we can’t
have on our consciences."
- The Pennsylvania Catholic Conference tells us that "A Marriage
Protection Amendment to the Pennsylvania State Constitution may be the
only way to preserve the definition of marriage as the union between one
man and one woman." By contrast, Daylin Leach is the Pa senate's prime sponsor of SB719, "providing for same-sex marriages."
- Montgomery County psychiatrist, Dr. Rick Fitzgibbons, maintains that: "Youth have the right to be provided informed consent
about the serious medical and psychiatric illnesses, and risks, of the
homosexual lifestyle. Pediatricians, mental health professionals,
physicians, nurses and school counselors have a clear legal
responsibility to do so, and parents, family members, educators, and
clergy a grave moral responsibility" (Same-Sex Attractions in Youth and Their Right to Informed Consent, 5/21/12). By contrast, Daylin Leach is one of the five Pa senators who introduced SB 872, "Prohibiting mental health professionals from engaging in sexual
orientation change efforts with an individual under 18 years of age."
- Oh, and by the way, Daylin Leach was one of five Pa senators to introduce SB 1182, "The Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act."
