As of 3/30/18, Brian Fitzpatrick had a "spotty" record at best on life and family concerns

  •  "The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. Now it will be considered in the Senate....Urge our Senators to support H.R. 7 to permanently protect our tax dollars from paying for or promoting elective abortions. " (Pa Catholic Conference).  Fitzpatrick voted yes.

  • Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection: "On behalf of our country and the children whose lives are at stake, I urge you to support and request a vote on this common-sense reform offered by S. 1922 and to oppose all weakening amendments" (Cardinal Dolan, 10/17/17).  Fitzpatrick voted yes.

  • "H.R. 1865 was a legislative package that combined the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA)… with an amendment incorporating reforms contained in S. 1693 the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA)….The legislative duo takes direct aim at websites that facilitate and profit from prostitution and sex trafficking" (National Center On Sexual Exploitation, 3/23/18).  Fitzpatrick voted yes.

  • "The USCCB continues to support the First Amendment Defense Act, the Child Welfare Provider Inclusion Act [Fitzpatrick is NOT a co-sponsor.], and the Healthy Relationships Act in Congress [Fitzpatrick is NOT a co-sponsor.]" (Marriage Unique for a Reason: March 2018 Newsletter).  Human Life Action (an affiliate of the USCCB) has been supporting the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act [Fitzpatrick voted yes.], the Conscience Protection Act [Fitzpatrick is NOT a co-sponsor.], and H. Con. Res. 80 against Assisted Suicide [Fitzpatrick is NOT a co-sponsor.]

  • Omnibus failed to incorporate the Conscience Protection Act, funded Planned Parenthood, and failed to repeal DC's assisted suicide act (cf, USCCB, LifeSiteNews).  Fitzpatrick voted yes.
