Dear ______,

As you may know, the U.S. Supreme Court will convene this Friday, February 22nd and will decide whether to grant review or deny review for a number of cases, including the Boyertown student privacy lawsuit.

Please pray. There are three options the Supreme Court could decide upon on Friday:

1) Take the case,
2) Deny review to the case, or
3) Set a new date to make a decision.

Our nation's highest court only takes an average of one out of every 100 cases that are petitioned to the Supreme Court. But as Randall Wenger, Chief Counsel for the Independence Law Center who, along with Alliance Defending Freedom, is representing these students free of charge, pointed out at our Friends of the Family banquet last October:

"This is the only case at this stage in the pipeline where the Supreme Court can actually hear this issue this term and be able to give a decision that can affect our nation for good. So please pray that the Court takes this case so that we can protect student privacy not just in the Boyertown Area School District but in our entire nation."

Pray for the Boyertown Six, the six students directly involved in this case, which includes Alexis Lightcap. To help offer you more insights into the case, and to give you a better framework for your prayers, here's a video interview with Alexis where she shares her story.

Alexis is a brave and courageous young woman. We thank her and the other five students for taking a stand in order to defend not only their privacy rights but those of countless other students. And I thank our team at the Independence Law Center who have dedicated much time and energy to defending these students in court -- all free of charge to the students and their families -- made possible because of people like you.

Thank you for your prayers. We will keep you posted on the latest in this case.

Sincerely,

Michael Geer
