In addition to USCCB president Archbishop Kurtz, the American Catholic hierarchy was represented by Archbishop Lori. It was mentioned that Philadelphia auxiliary Bishop McIntyre was present, but he did not speak.

ONLY ONE ELECTED OFFICIAL came to the podium, and that was State Senator Ruben Diaz of New York, a pentecostal minister who is strongly pro life and pro marriage. To those who are unfamiliar with the defense of marriage, it may be a surprise to learn that Senator Diaz is also a Democrat.

To these eyes, the crowd appeared larger than the first two marches, but it is a much, much smaller event than the March for Life.
