Payback from the Corbett camp?

On the pages of this morning's Courier Times, a former speechwriter for Governor Tom Corbett made a point of insulting Daryl Metcalfe:

• "It would be a dreadful thing to have this mess handed over to Daryl Metcalfe, the paleoconservative who has already introduced a motion for impeachment of Kane. Metcalfe's views of justice are more redolent of Salem, Massachusetts than Independence Hall.  Yet, with Democratic leaders running for cover, afraid to call out a malefactor in their ranks, they are fast making Metcalfe resemble Oliver Wendell Holmes compared to them."
