"For Zion’s sake I will not be silent": urge a consistent defense of human life and marriage/family!

With regard to specific pro life legislation, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) advises us to

(1) "Urge House Support for Women's Public Health and Safety Act (HR 3495)" (i.e., S 2159).
The USCCB explains that "Action alerts for pro-life issues can also be found through our partner organization, the National Committee for the Human Life Amendment."  The NCHLA is calling on our U.S. Senators to
(2) "Please Support the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act!" (i.e., HR 7 / S582).
With regard to specific pro marriage/pro family legislation, the USCCB is encouraging support for the
(3) the "State Marriage Defense Act of 2015" (i.e., HR 824 / S 435),

(4) the "First Amendment Defense Act" (i.e., HR 2802 / S 1598), and the

(5) the "Child Welfare Provider Inclusion Act of 2015 (CWPIA)" (i.e., HR 1299 / S 667).

Other than for Representative Joe Pitts and Keith Rothfus, the Pa Delegation to the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate has - at best - an inconsistent, when it comes to supporting these five pieces of legislation.  If you go to Washington, DC on Friday, please take the opportunity to urge a consistent defense of human life and marriage/family.

  • You can also click to Email Pa's Congressional Delegation, asking for Co-Sponsorship/Support of the pro life and pro marriage/family legislation backed by the USCCB and/or the NCHLA.
