Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, you've helped advocate for COVID-19 relief that supports those who are poor and vulnerable. Now take the next step to advocate for those in need by spreading the word about these vital resources. Please share the following information in your community to connect your neighbors to resources that will support their families and help them maintain stable housing. The Child Tax Credit There is an expanded Child Tax Credit available this year and more families are eligible than ever before. Half of the payments are even available in advance, on a monthly basis. Those who have not filed a tax return in 2019 or 2020 will need to submit their information to receive the credit. They can do so here: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/child-tax-credit-non-filer-sign-up-tool More great resources for families and those working to connect them to the CTC are available at http://www.getctc.org/ and https://www.taxoutreach.org/tax-filing/coronavirus/2021-stimulus-checks-and-tax-credit-outreach-resources/ Rental Assistance Emergency Rental Assistance is available for renter households impacted by the pandemic.
