As my wife and I are great fans of BBC dramas, we have a supplemental player for DVDs not yet available to in American formats. Hence, we are among the very few on this side of the pond to have seen Season 5 (Well, at least 5 of 6 episodes, thus far.). SPOILER WARNING: It involves "people trafficking" - what we would call human trafficking.
Migrants are incredibly at risk and not exclusively in North America! Also in Scotland
"Catholic human rights campaigners have written to the Archbishop of Glasgow asking for asylum seekers affected by Serco’s lock-change evictions to be temporarily housed in disused Church property....Serco, who change locks on behalf of the Home Office, have begun evicting up to 30 people a week....The controversial lock changes are titled the ‘move on protocol’ by the UK Home Office, and aim to see those who have been refused asylum return to their home countries, from which many asylum seekers have fled due to factors such as war and persecution" (Scottish Catholic Observer, 8/2/19).
