"Kathleen 'Kathy' Gasson of Quakertown died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Abington Hospital in Abington, Pa.
"Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of the late Andrew and Anne Brianko Hritzko, she resided in Lower Makefield Township for 34 years, before recently moving to Quakertown.
"Kathy was a registered nurse and graduated from Presbyterian University Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. Following her retirement from nursing, she was a producer at Holy Spirit Radio in Doylestown, Pa.
"She was active in the human services community, supporting the Bucks County Community Women's Center, Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition, My Father's Vineyard, Aid for Friends, and the food pantry at Sacred Heart Church in Trenton, N.J. She was also a sponsor of 'Gloria' in Uganda through the Rev. John Mary Busobozi.
"Wife of the late Edward F. Gasson, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura A. and David Boardman of Norristown, Pa., and Amy L. and Joshua Thornbrough of North Wales, Pa., a son, David E. Gasson of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Amelia and Eddie Thornbrough; a sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Charles Hild of Olean, N.Y.; and a sister-in-law, Marlene Patsilevas of Oakmont, Pa.
"Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Ave., Yardley, where friends may call at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery Mausoleum, Doylestown.
