“House
Bill 2050 and Senate Bill 1050 would enact a ban on aborting an unborn child as
a result of a Down syndrome diagnosis….protect the lives of unborn children
with Down syndrome” (Pa
Catholic Conference).
Amend
POLST Bill: Protect Vulnerable Patients from Being Denied Necessary Medical
Treatment (Pa
Catholic Conference)
“SB 613, HB 1410
and HB 2341 would make it illegal for religious schools, churches and other
religious ministries and non-profit organizations to only hire employees that
agree with the religious organization's teaching on sexuality, marriage and
gender. It would also force religious adoption and foster care agencies to
either violate their beliefs and place children in homes without a mother and
father or go out of business. It would also make it illegal for creative
professionals to decline to promote messages related to human sexuality they
disagree with; and for bakers, photographers, and wedding-business owners to
choose not to participate in a same-sex wedding ceremony” [And it would
eliminate the right to restrict usage of public facilities to those of the same
biological sex] (PaFamily.org). It should be noted that Philadelphia has already “suspended the contracts of
Catholic Social Services (as well as Bethany Christian Services) to place children
in foster homes, a decision the City is threatening to make permanent on June
30, 2018” (Marriage:
Unique for a Reason, USCCB, June 2018)
“Pennsylvania
should not be using tax dollars to pay for ‘gender reassignment’ surgery or
services related to the surgery. I ask for your support of HB 1933, and end the
taxpayer-funding of ‘sex change’ surgery on children through the Children's
Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and on adults through Medicaid. This
life-altering surgery harms children and adults alike. Please pass HB 1933” (Pa
Family.org).
“funding
for women's health care should be prioritized to facilities providing
comprehensive health care services versus those -- like Planned Parenthood --
that offer limited services and that focus on abortion….Vote yes on SB300 /
HB1542” (Pa
Family.org).
