Do ostensibly pro-life/pro-family peope put party affilation (Republicans, as well as Democrats) before the truth?

"The movement started in Massachusetts, the first state to legalize same-sex marriage. The concept of discrimination against same-sex couples took root there, forcing Catholic and Christian adoption agencies out of business when they refused to adopt to same-sex couples. Following Massachusetts were bans in Illinois, San Francisco, the District of Columbia, California, and Philadelphia. The 2015 Supreme Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide gave rise to more legal challenges up by the ACLU against private, Christian, and Catholic adoption services....Nationally, Sen. Mike Enzi (R., Wyo.) and Cong. Mike Kelly (R., Pa.) have introduced in each house the Child Welfare Provider Inclusion Act of 2017, which attempts to provide federal protection for these faith-based agencies....The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) supports the legislation....The Senate number for the bill is S 811. The companion bill in the House is HR 1881." (Deacon Mike Manno, 6/3/18). It should be noted that NEITHER Casey NOR Toomey are co-sponsoring S. 1811; Brian Fitzpatrick is NOT a co-sponsor of HR 1881.. All three consider themselves "pro life." Are we OK with such blatant inconsistency?
- If SB 613 or HB 1410 were to become law in Pennsylvania, "It would force religious adoption and foster care agencies to either violate their beliefs and place children in homes without a mother and father or cease serving children and close" (PaFamily.org). Yet, Bucks County's Davis, Galloway, Quinn, Warren, and Watson are co-sponsors! Galloway, Quinn, and Watson consider themselves "pro life"! Are we OK with such blatant inconsistency?
- Faithful in the Garden State were asked by the NJ Catholic Conference to IMMEDIATELY contact NJ state legislators in opposition to so-called "assisted suicide"), telling legislators to OPPOSE A1504/S1072. On the right side of the home page is a link to email Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth, and Ocean Delegations in Trenton (5/26/18 update)
