- "The Death with Dignity Act is scheduled to be heard before the New Jersey Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee on Thursday, June 5th at 10:00am. Please contact your NJ State Legislators, even if you have already done so, by clicking on this link to use the NJCC Faith in Action Center. The Death with Dignity Act, A2270, a bill authorizing physician assisted suicide, would allow a person who has a 'terminal disease' to request a prescription from a physician for lethal drugs that would end their life. Terminal disease is defined as an incurable and irreversible disease that has been medically confirmed and will, within reasonable medical judgment, result in a patient’s death within six months. Please ask legislators to oppose A2270/S382. For more information click here."
