"the effort to protect marriage in Pennsylvania continues."

As per yesterday's email from the Pa Family Inst,

"Once again, Federal District Judge John E. Jones made his opinion known about Pennsylvania's Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).  On May 20th, Judge Jones overturned that law, stating that the very notion that marriage is only the union of one man and one woman should be thrown 'on the ash heap of history.'

"This morning, and again with strong language, Jones denied a request for intervention in the case made by Schuylkill County Register of Wills Theresa Gaffney.  Mrs. Gaffney seeks to appeal Judge Jones' ruling overturning DOMA, since neither Gov. Corbett nor Attorney General Kathleen Kane would do so.

"However, the effort to protect marriage in Pennsylvania continues. This afternoon, attorneys representing Mrs. Gaffney filed papers with the US Court of Appeals, seeking to overrule the denial of intervention, and to allow an appeal by Theresa Gaffney to go forward.

"Please pray for this case, for Theresa Gaffney, and for the attorneys that are continuing to press this case onward."
