Any use of so-called emergency ''contraception'' in Catholic hospitals should cease, because of the danger of abortion.

Many are unaware that so-called emergency ''contraception'' is used in Catholic hospitals for individuals identifying themselves as victims of rape (forcible or statutory?).  This should cease, because of the danger of abortions being facilitated (cf., Fr. Juan Vélez, MD and Rebecca Peck, MD, The Postovulatory Mechanism of Action of Plan B, NCBC Quarterly, Winter 2013; Rebecca Peck, MD, Chris Kahlenborn, MD and Walter B Severs, PhD, FCP, Mechanism of action of levonorgestrel emergency contraception, Linacre Quarterly, February 2015Catholic Medical Association, 11/29/16)
